HUNZA, Jan.30: Magnificent Baltit Fort, a master piece of Tibetan architecture and Balti craftsmanship is lying on the top of Karimabad settlement, about 8000 feet above sea level in Hunza.

The fort was built about 700 years ago. Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Mir of Hunza donated it to Baltit Heritage Trust (BHT). Later, it was renovated by AKCSP and won UNESCO award in 2004. Baltit fort was a symbol of prestiege of Hunza in fuedal regimes and remained home of rolyal dynasty for many years. It continues to attract vistors even more in moon nights every year around the world.
